So Nokia has done an awesome thing. They have gone into a variety of countries, mostly third world, and asked inhabitants to design their ideal mobile phone. Very few of the designs are really practical. Most of them go way beyond the uses any mobile phone could ever fulfill. However, as art they are really fascinating. The most important needs of these people are laid out. Some of them are personal, some communal, but all of them are place-specific, which is what is most interesting to me.
